Progress Update 12/31/11

As of today, I have 6 referrals and a total of 47 referral SwagBucks!!!!

I too have been busy scraping up all of the SwagBucks I can.  Right now I have enough to cash out for (5) $5 Amazon cards, and your referral SB's have helped to make that happen :)

$25 down, only $625 to go to get the iPad.  What a great way to start off the year.  Only 360 days until Christmas 2012.

Thank you all very much, and see you next year.

There are always a few bumps in the beginning...

They finally updated my account and I currently have 6 referrals but no referral SB’s!

I’m pretty disappointed, to be honest.  I know at least one of my referrals earned 149 SB’s on Mega Match Monday, and that has not been credited to my account despite the blog announcement that all referral SwagBucks from referrals on Mega Match Monday would be credited by the 21st.

I guess an email to the SwagBucks team is in order.

If you are one of my referrals, and you earned any SwagBucks on Monday, December 19th, please let me know so that I can add this to my email to SwagBucks.  You can find this out by going to your lefger and checking the dates to see if you earned any SB’s on the 19th.

Thank you all so much for all of your hard work.  I look forward to more eventful updates in the future.

Progress Update 12/20/11

As of right now I have 6 referrals on my SwagBucks account!  Woo-hoo!  I won't know how many referral points have been earned until later (I guess it takes a while to update), but I am hoping you all have had fun earning.  Just be careful.  It gets addictive ;)

It really warms my heart that you all would join me on this journey and lend a hand for my little boy.

Please make sure to spread the word, if you can.  The more people that sign up, the closer we get to the iPad and then Christmas gifts for needy children.

As excited as I am to get this iPad for my son, I think I am becoming even more excited at the prospect of being able to provide toys to children who would otherwise have nothing.  I am also considering maybe purchasing other things for needy families such as diapers and clothes and shoes.  The more SwagBucks I have to work with, the more I can provide to those in need, and that truly makes me feel good.

Our family has been extremely blessed over the years.  Despite adversities, we have never truly suffered as some families do.  I have started couponing on a grand scale, and I plan to donate any extras to food banks in my community.

I am definitely open to ideas on what to do with the extra points/gift cards and would love any ideas you all have on how these things can really help people.

Why I Love SwagBucks, and How It Helps My Goal

SwagBucks is an easy way to earn some extra spending money.  How much you can make depends on how much you put into it.

Let’s say you just want to do the bare minimum.  You answer the Daily Poll for 1 SwagBuck, you follow the No Obligation Special Offer trail for 2 SwagBucks, and confirm the video email link thing for 3 SwagBucks and do at least three SwagBucks searches for a minimum of 7 SwagBucks each (it’s usually more than 7 SwagBucks for a successful search, but 7 is the lowest I’ve ever seen).  And let’s say you do this every day.  It’s less than 10 minutes out of your life, usually.

That would net you approximately 27 SwagBucks per day, so 810 SwagBucks in a 30 day period.  With 810 SB (SB is abbreviated for SwagBucks) you can get 1 $5 Amazon gift card (and are only 90 points away from a second one), or you can get $5 sent to your PayPal and have 110 SB left over.

If you earn 21 SB every day through searches, in a 30 day period you would earn 630 SB that SwagBucks will also give to me as a referral match!  If 100 people do this, that would be 63,000 SB, which converts to approximately $500 in PayPal gift cards!  That’s almost a whole iPad!

They also have surveys you can do for 63-250+ SB’s if you qualify.  There are several special offers you can complete for even more SB’s.  I did one for a discover credit card and got 4500 SB’s!!!!

I only get matching SwagBucks for your searches, but that doesn’t mean you have to stop there.  There are many people that spend all year gathering SB’s and converting them to gift cards in order to do their Christmas shopping or help throughout the year to buy gifts or even things they need around the house (you can buy almost anything on Amazon)  If you are willing to put in the effort, you can earn hundreds of dollars every month just playing around online (which, let’s admit, most of you are doing anyway).

Join SwagBucks using my referral link below and get started making some money :)

Once I get 25 referrals on my account that earn at least 25 referral SB’s in a month, I will have a drawing of some sort for a gift card.  I really want to do something for all of the people helping me to do this wonderful thing for my little man.

Just So You Know Who This Is For…

I realized that I should probably add a picture of my son so that you all know who it is that I am doing this for.

And then I realized that while pictures of him are awesome, a video would be even better!

So I decided to do a little interview with my son about the iPad.
